Postdoctoral Researcher in Computer Science – Digital Governance

About the role

The University of Luxembourg invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in computer science to join the Competence Hub on Digital Governance in Crisis-Affected Regions. The hub, part of ULIDE, aims to strengthen ethical, legal and operational governance capacities for digital transformation in humanitarian contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interdisciplinary research on digital governance, security, and trust in crisis‑affected regions.
• Translate research findings into policy briefs, operational guidance, toolkits and training formats for humanitarian practitioners.
• Contribute to academic publications and dissemination activities.
• Support limited teaching activities at Bachelor or Master level, including supervision of student work related to the project.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Ethics or a related field.
• Strong research background in security, trust, or digital governance.
• Ability to work interdisciplinary and collaborate with international organisations and humanitarian actors.
