Knowledge Lawyer – Debt Finance Team

About the role

We are seeking a Knowledge Lawyer to join our Debt Finance team. In this role you will support both lender‑ and borrower‑side mandates, providing research‑based legal insight across a wide range of financing structures, including leveraged, asset, real‑estate, infrastructure, fund and corporate lending.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth research on complex legal topics and produce tailored advice for the team.
• Draft legal memoranda, practice notes, client briefings and contribute to internal and external publications.
• Prepare client communications that showcase Clifford Chance’s expertise.
• Monitor legal developments, disseminate updates and maintain the department’s knowledge base.
• Support junior lawyer education and organise internal knowledge‑sharing meetings and conferences.
• Maintain and enhance the template library, identify gaps, create new templates and keep the knowledge platform current.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in debt finance or related financial law.
• Proven ability to research complex legal issues and produce clear, pragmatic advice.
• Strong drafting skills for memoranda, practice notes and client materials.
• Interest in knowledge management and continuous learning within a global law firm.
