Governance & Process Simplification Trainee

About the role

The European Investment Fund is looking for a Governance & Process Simplification Trainee to join the Senior Staff Office of the Investment Office in Luxembourg for a five‑month assignment starting November 2026. The role supports the design and implementation of digital tools that streamline information management and follow‑up for the Fund’s governance bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and organise governance‑related information from multiple Investment Office departments.
• Assist in designing a user‑friendly digital solution that provides a structured overview of participation in committees, steering groups and working groups.
• Support the development of automated tools for tracking actions, monitoring follow‑up and reporting on governance activities.
• Identify opportunities for process simplification based on audit findings and internal evaluations.
• Collaborate with senior staff to ensure the solution meets efficiency, control and accountability requirements.

Required profile

• Current enrolment in a university programme (e.g., Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering) or recent graduate.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work under guidance.
• Interest in financial institutions, governance processes and digital transformation.
• Good communication skills in English.
