Customs & Trade Policy Trainee

About the role

Join PwC Luxembourg’s Government and Public Sector Advisory team as a Customs & Trade Policy Trainee. You will work alongside strategy consultants supporting the modernisation of customs administrations and international trade frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategy consulting projects for customs administrations, customs unions and international institutions.
• Develop governance frameworks, reform roadmaps and policy recommendations.
• Research and analyse EU customs and trade regulatory frameworks, including the Union Customs Code, WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and CBAM.
• Own defined workstreams, producing reports, frameworks and presentations with increasing autonomy.
• Support project management and coordination across multi‑workstream engagements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Customs or EU Law, International Relations, Political Science, Economics or a related field.
• Strong exposure to public policy or international governance.
• Working knowledge of EU customs and trade regulatory frameworks from a public administration perspective.
• Ability to conduct structured research and translate complex regulatory topics into clear insights.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
