AML & Client Due Diligence Officer – Private Banking

About the role

As a member of the 1st Line of Defense, you will protect the bank from money‑laundering and financial‑crime risks throughout the client lifecycle. You will ensure full compliance with Luxembourg regulations and internal policies while supporting the Private Banking business.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive Client Due Diligence (CDD) for new onboarding, periodic reviews and trigger events.
• Perform Know‑Your‑Transaction (KYT) investigations and manage the administrative closure of exit accounts.
• Respond to balance‑confirmation requests from auditors and legal teams.
• Implement and monitor AML/CDD control frameworks.
• Provide AML expertise to Private Banking teams, interpreting procedures and anticipating regulatory changes.
• Execute specific compliance projects assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance or a related field; AML/compliance certifications are a plus.
• 3–5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in CDD/KYC/AML within financial services.
• Full professional proficiency in English and French (written and verbal).

Required skills

• Proficiency with screening tools such as World‑Check.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
