Vice President, Trustee & Depositary

About the role

We are looking for a Vice President to lead our Depositary Funds Oversight team in Luxembourg, focusing on NAV reviews for traditional and alternative funds. The role involves managing a team, ensuring timely and accurate reviews, and contributing to governance and digitisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team that performs NAV reviews for liquid funds, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Participate in governance committees and collaborate with product development teams across EMEA to standardise and digitalise processes.
• Own digitisation initiatives affecting the oversight remit and drive process improvements.
• Follow up on NAV errors, provide corrective information to regulators, and document findings.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of the five depositary oversight duties for both traditional and alternative funds, identify exceptions and ensure their closure.
• Maintain strong client relationships and promote BNY Depositary as a value‑added service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Depositary, Fund Administrator, Management Company/AIFM or audit firm.
• Previous people‑management experience.
• Experience performing NAV reviews for UCITS and AIFs.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).
• Process improvement and LEAN methodology.
• Data migration, testing and reconciliation techniques.
• Understanding of CSSF Circulars 16/644, 18/697, 24/856 and relevant regulatory frameworks (AIFMD, UCITS V).
