Senior Loan Accountant

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Loan Accountant to lead the accounting for loan and financing activities linked to a property portfolio. The position combines full‑cycle accounting with hands‑on involvement in internal financing processes, requiring precision, autonomy, and strong ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for the financing entity, focusing on loan accounting, shareholder loans, and property‑related financing.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with Luxembourg GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor debt positions, interest calculations, repayment schedules, and covenant compliance.
• Support intra‑group financing flows, handling funding requests from operating entities (primarily Cyprus).
• Coordinate funding arrangements with parent entities and assist in loan transaction execution (drawdowns, repayments, restructurings).
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Ensure proper documentation, reconciliation, and traceability of all financing transactions.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in loan accounting, financing structures, intercompany transactions, or real estate.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards and regulatory environment.
• Excellent understanding of financial flows and interest mechanics.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset with strong ownership.
• Ability to work independently and act as a coordination point across multiple jurisdictions.
• Detail‑oriented and well‑organized.
