Operations Controller

About the role

The Operations Controller ensures the resilience and efficiency of Cargolux’s global cargo network. Working in a 24/7 control environment, you will balance safety, regulatory compliance and commercial priorities while handling irregular operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational stability and execute the traffic program within a 72‑hour horizon.
• Lead decision‑making during disruptions, protecting schedule integrity and cargo flows.
• Optimize aircraft utilisation and network performance.
• Develop and implement recovery strategies for irregular operations.
• Coordinate with Dispatch, MCC, Crew Control, Network and Ground Operations.
• Apply regulatory expertise on EASA, ICAO, IOSA, ATFM and Eurocontrol processes.
• Act as senior decision‑maker during disruptions and contribute to strategic evolution of the IACC.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of experience in airline operations control, network control or dispatch (cargo experience preferred).
• Strong analytical and leadership abilities, able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; a second European language is a plus.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts within a 24/7 environment.
