AV Designer – Audiovisual Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AV Designer to develop and design both standard and complex audiovisual systems for sustainable projects. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated video, audio, and control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and engineer audiovisual systems, including video, audio, and control components.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration.
• Select appropriate AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, and video‑conferencing solutions.
• Provide AV infrastructure requirements (power, data, reinforced walls) to IT and main contractors.
• Review third‑party deliverables, conduct site surveys, and produce detailed reports.
• Participate in regular work‑stream meetings and coordinate with project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Design or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in AV design, integration, or installation.
• Strong communication skills in English; French and German are a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AV design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Visio.
• Knowledge of control systems and audio/video transport protocols.
• Understanding of networking principles for AV over IP.
• Familiarity with CTS or PRINCE2 project management methodologies.
