Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Counsel to join Universal Investment’s Luxembourg team. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across corporate, contract, IT/IP, data protection and outsourcing matters within the fund services industry.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate law, contract law, IT/IP, data protection and outsourcing issues.
• Support corporate governance processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate agreements with third‑party service providers and investment fund documents.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and maintain an active legal watch.
• Provide practical, commercially‑sound legal recommendations for business projects.
• Collaborate with the Head of Legal and other team members on various legal matters.

Required profile

• Law degree (BAC+5); CDDL qualification is a plus.
• 2‑3 years of experience as a Legal Advisor, preferably in investment funds or a financial institution.
• Fluent English; French or German language skills are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple legal topics.
