Investment Analyst – Transport & Environment

About the role

The firm is a leading European mid‑market infrastructure investment manager seeking an Investment Analyst/Associate for its Transport & Environment team in Luxembourg. You will be involved in the full investment lifecycle, from origination to divestment, supporting a hands‑on, buy‑and‑grow approach across transport, waste, environmental services and related infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and conduct preliminary assessments of new investment opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models, perform valuation and returns analysis.
• Conduct market, sector and company research across transport and environmental services.
• Coordinate due‑diligence processes with external advisors.
• Assist in reviewing and negotiating legal documentation alongside senior team members.
• Prepare investment committee materials, internal presentations and transaction notes.
• Support portfolio company value‑creation initiatives and strategic decisions.
• Monitor financial and commercial performance of portfolio assets.
• Help with periodic valuations, business‑plan updates, reporting and investor communications.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of relevant experience (including internships) in an infrastructure fund, private equity, M&A, project finance, corporate finance or investment banking environment.
• Strong analytical capability and commercial judgement.
• Genuine interest in infrastructure, transport and environmental sectors.
