Investment Analyst Trainee (5-month program)

About the role

The European Investment Fund is looking for a motivated trainee to join its Alternative Lenders, Skills & Education Unit in Luxembourg for a five‑month period starting September 2026. You will support the development and coordination of a database that tracks the division’s micro‑finance and fintech loan transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of a database coordination project for the division.
• Gather, verify and analyse data related to loan transactions.
• Coordinate database inputs under the guidance of senior team members.
• Contribute to the delivery of project milestones and documentation.

Required profile

• University degree or ongoing studies in Business Administration, Finance, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Law or a related field; final‑year master’s students are preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional EU language is a plus.
