Senior Program Manager, NA Standards & Procedures, Workplace Health and Safety

About the role

Amazon is looking for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) professional to join the Global Standards & Procedures team. The Senior Program Manager will lead the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of WHS programs that support Amazon operations worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver medium to large, cross‑functional WHS procedures, often with global impact.
• Develop, review, approve, and enhance internal policies to meet country‑specific WHS laws and Amazon Global Standards.
• Implement and track WHS programs, providing execution support to field operations.
• Drive standardization of WHS best practices at regional and global levels.
• Recommend improvements to program scoping, testing, and deployment.
• Partner with stakeholders such as RME, Procurement, SLeD, Compliance Assurance, Audits, and Legal.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.

Required profile

• Strong background in health and safety management, especially for high‑risk operations.
• Proven experience in program and project management within large, high‑performing organizations.
• Ability to work across multiple business units and align diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Record of delivering successful WHS initiatives and compliance programs.
