Mechanical Designer – Molds (Product Development)

About the role

Join the Development‑Engineering team at Husky Technologies in Luxembourg and support the creation of beverage packaging tooling. After an initial training period at the European headquarters, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, reliable and cost‑effective mold designs.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate design concepts and produce a design selection matrix based on the scope of work.
• Execute detailed mechanical designs applying company standards.
• Perform system‑level design with limited guidance.
• Create design documentation and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including engineering, manufacturing, testing and validation.
• Develop and manage complex project plans, set milestones and communicate status effectively.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design for molds or similar environments (advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of CAD applications.
• Proven ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems.
• Good project and time‑management skills.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX).
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Virtual simulation tools (advantageous).
