Digital Communications Officer

About the role

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg is expanding its communications team. We are looking for a creative, organised, and digitally curious individual to manage our online presence, produce visual content, and support German‑language communications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SnT’s LinkedIn strategy, maintain the editorial calendar, and post daily content.
• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, on‑brand manner.
• Design and run social‑media campaigns for research projects, labs and strategic events.
• Identify and coach researchers to create their own content.
• Cover events, visits and outreach activities, turning them into timely social posts.
• Track performance metrics, analyse results and continuously improve engagement.
• Shoot and edit photos at events, labs and signature moments; create branded visual assets for various formats.
• Maintain an organised archive of visual assets.
• Write, edit and proofread German‑language social media posts and communication materials.
• Support German‑language press and PR activities, ensuring consistency and quality.

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Humanities, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience in a corporate or fast‑paced environment in Luxembourg, handling competing priorities and coordinating stakeholders.
• Ability to distil complex information into clear, engaging outputs.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of LinkedIn and social‑media content strategy.
• Photo shooting and editing capabilities.
• German language writing, editing and proofreading.
