Senior Client Due Diligence Analyst - Transactional Due Diligence (KYC)

About the role

DWS is hiring a Senior Client Due Diligence Analyst for its Alternative Asset Management team in Luxembourg. The role supports AML Due Diligence (KYC) reviews on new and existing alternatives transactions, investment structures and fund service providers, and reports to the Team Manager Client Due Diligence - Transactional Due Diligence.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for AML Due Diligence reviews across the Alternatives/Private Markets platform, including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity and Private Credit.
• Carry out AML Due Diligence reviews on new and existing alternatives transactions, investment structures and fund service providers.
• Verify contracting party information, review AML/KYC documentation, run risk assessments, liaise with Business and Anti-Financial Crime stakeholders, advise on KYC requirements and approve transactions before execution.
• Support change initiatives on KYC and Sanctions & Embargoes, including procedural and system improvements.
• Monitor and report issues, risks and progress, manage escalations and coordinate with second-line control functions.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in financial services, preferably banking or asset management; exposure to alternative investments (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity, Private Credit) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of KYC and client onboarding, and of Control, Compliance and Investigation functions.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations, including AMLR, CSSF requirements and the German Money Laundering Act (GwG).
• CAMS certification or a comparable professional qualification is desirable.
• English and German are a plus.
