Sage-femme (m/f/d) – Full-time / Part-time

About the role

The Centre Hospitalier de l'Est du Luxembourg (CHEM) is seeking a qualified midwife (sage‑femme) to join its multidisciplinary team. The position can be organised as full‑time or part‑time, providing comprehensive care to pregnant women, newborns and their families across its three sites.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients and their families, document needs and birth plans.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, delivering preventive, curative and palliative care for mothers and newborns.
• Prepare patients for delivery, conduct prenatal education and support future parents.
• Monitor pregnancy progress and provide post‑natal follow‑up.
• Promote, encourage and support breastfeeding during pre‑, per‑ and post‑natal periods.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and apply the “Hospital Friendly to Babies” (IHAB) criteria.
• Perform obstetric monitoring and intensive newborn surveillance as required.
