Financial Controller

About the role

The JOST Group, a family-owned logistics group founded in 1958 with 4,000 employees across 10 European and Tunisian countries, is looking for a Financial Controller for immediate employment at its headquarters in Weiswampach (Luxembourg). You will work within a four-person team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and annual statutory closings with the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial information
• Keep accounting records consistent with financial reporting and help harmonize accounting and financial procedures across the group
• Prepare reliable reports for management and shareholders (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual) and monitor income statement, balance sheet and cash flow performance
• Analyze year-over-year variances, recommend corrective actions and monitor KPIs such as EBITDA, ROE, liquidity ratios, leverage, DSO, DPO and solvency
• Perform entity-level and consolidated cost and margin analysis, and profitability analysis by company or entity
• Contribute to improving management tools and the digital transformation of the finance function, and propose concrete optimization recommendations
• Implement and strengthen internal controls, review intercompany transactions and ensure VAT, corporate income tax and statutory filing compliance
• Monitor cash flow forecasts and actuals, analyze working capital needs and support financing optimization

Required profile

• Master's degree in finance, audit or accounting
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or in auditing, preferably in the industrial sector
• Solid understanding of taxation and regulatory compliance
• Excellent command of English and French; German and/or Dutch is an asset

Required skills

• Advanced financial analysis and strong knowledge of local GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Internal control frameworks
• Excel; Qlik Sense and/or ODOO are a plus
