Finance & Accounting Specialist – Start‑up (M/F)

About the role

You will join a fast‑growing international tech start‑up based in Luxembourg, taking ownership of day‑to‑day accounting operations. The position offers a hands‑on scope, covering invoicing, cash collection, financial reporting and process improvement while working closely with senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full invoicing cycle, from issuance to cash collection.
• Reconcile bank accounts, invoices and expenses to ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments and resolve issues.
• Process supplier payments, expenses and overall financial flows.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closings with external partners.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and support tax‑related processes.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management reports and track performance against budgets.
• Document, structure and continuously improve finance processes, identifying automation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting or finance operations experience, preferably in a start‑up environment.
• Knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP (Lux GAAP) and strong analytical/reconciliation skills.
• Excellent organizational attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
