Electrical Engineer – Ironmaking & Green Steel Projects

About the role

Join Paul Wurth's EIC department as an Electrical Engineer, working in an agile, interdisciplinary team on worldwide projects for the iron‑making industry and emerging green‑steel technologies. You will contribute to the full project lifecycle, from offer preparation to on‑site commissioning and training.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical projects from the offer stage through to completion.
• Design electric and hydraulic control systems for blast furnace equipment.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and discussions with customers.
• Coordinate equipment manufacturing with suppliers, conduct quality control and acceptance tests on supplier premises.
• Collaborate with engineering and other departments across the organization.
• Provide on‑site support during equipment commissioning and train operating personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including single‑line diagrams, automation layouts, supplier specifications, and instrumentation.
• Proven ability to create offers and execute projects up to on‑site commissioning.
• Solution‑oriented mindset with strong communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel worldwide and fluency in English and German (French a plus).
