Document Control Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Document Control Lead to join a PMC mission on a major data‑center project in Luxembourg. The role will design, implement and maintain a comprehensive document management environment throughout design, construction and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete records of all design submissions, revisions and approvals across PUF, C&S and MEP disciplines.
• Implement and enforce document approval workflows fully integrated with BIM processes.
• Coordinate the flow of documentation among design, construction, QA/QC, commissioning, commercial and operations teams, ensuring a single source of truth for drawings, models, ITPs, test records and technical documents.
• Control and track transmittals for shop drawings, method statements, ITPs and subcontractor deliverables, and verify hold‑point approvals before construction releases.
• Monitor document‑related milestones, prepare look‑ahead reports and support project planning and commissioning activities.
• Provide client portal access, support audits, prepare hand‑over packages (O&M manuals, warranties, certificates, BIM as‑built) and manage submissions to local authorities.
• Maintain audit trails, retention schedules, secure storage and define naming conventions, metadata standards and backup procedures.
• Lead, mentor and train document control staff on EDMS platforms and ensure alignment with BIM and project controls.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Information Management, Engineering, Construction or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of document control experience on large construction or data‑center projects.
• Full professional proficiency in English; French or German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EDMS platforms such as Aconex, ProjectWise or SharePoint.
• Solid understanding of BIM deliverables and associated workflows.
