Construction Manager – Fulfillment Center Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager will join Amazon's operations team to lead the planning, design and construction of new and expanded Fulfillment Centers across Europe. This role combines construction engineering, project management and facilities oversight to support Amazon's growing logistics network.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee construction engineering, planning and design for new fulfillment centers and expansion projects.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and analyses to define design requirements and equipment needs.
• Survey existing facilities, audit procedures and recommend solutions for infrastructure, safety and security.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and appropriate service level agreements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, maintenance engineers and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Audit contractor performance and competence, addressing under‑performance and ensuring quality delivery.
• Maintain information systems for scheduling and recording contract work.

Required profile

• Proven experience in planning, designing and managing construction projects for large facilities.
• Strong ability to evaluate facility scenarios and develop build‑out designs.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
• Capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
